Tribeca, the TRIangle BElow CAnal Street, is a prominent neighborhood in West downtown Manhattan. Like SoHo it was once an industrial neighborhood, probably the biggest in the City. Many if not most of Tribeca's factories and unique cast iron fronted warehouses have been converted to spacious lofts, apartments and condos. Like many industrial neighborhoods Tribeca became a haven for artists who found the loft spaces in these old buildings perfectly suited for studios. Eventually, like many industrial neighborhoods, the neighborhood boasts many celebrity residents most notably Robert DeNiro as well as many upscale restaurants and art galleries. In addition to its culture and happening feel, Tribeca is conveniently located close to the financial district and many unique neighborhoods.

With its trendy art scene, hot restaurants and boutiques, and some of the city's top real estate, Tribeca is a prime place to live and has become home for many financial studs and the social elite who wish to be away from it all. The area boasts a majority of the top 10 restaurants in the city, trendy local bars and stores that cater to the needs of their affluent locals. This largely self-contained neighborhood has the luxury of being somewhat removed from the rest of the comparatively crowded city, while still being just a few blocks away from accessing all.
